The Business Resource Group is an association of highly qualified and experienced professionals helping private parties buy, sell, acquire or merge businesses.  While our primary operations are in the General  Business Brokerage area -- transactions with a value less than $500,000 -- our staff includes highly qualified Associates who are experienced in transactions in the $500,000 to $5,000,000 range.

As a financial intermediary, we regard ourselves as experienced dealmakers regardless of the size of the transaction.  Our objective is a WIN-WIN situation.  Other financial intermediaries are banks, mortgage brokers,  investment bankers, even attorneys and accountants who regularly work in transferring business assets.

BUSINESS EVALUATIONS

BRG also provides computerized evaluations to arrive at a fair market value for the business.  Standard accounting formulas; such as, capitalization of earnings, projected earnings, excess earnings,  discounted cash flows, etc are used to provide a range of values. In addition, BRG specialists also have several financial analysis programs to assist in evaluating a prospective purchase.

THE FINANCIAL TEAM

JANICE and GEORGE STAROPOLI have been active in Business Brokerage since 1986. As owners of a VR Business Broker's franchise for three years, they successfully built their office to become #1 in Phoenix for VR in 1988 and 14th nationwide.  They, too, decided that being independent presented opportunities to provide a higher quality of service to their clients.

 

Janice is a Certified Business Intermediary, CBI,  and a past president of the Valley Board of Business Brokers.  Janice has been very successful, and is equally comfortable, in working with a wide range of businesses at various price and sales ranges. She is a Multi-Million Dollar producer for the last ten years. She left New York as a vice president for a subsidiary of Ethyl Corp. after fourteen years of service.  Janice has extensive experience in marketing, customer relations and in deal   negotiations. 

 

George is president of StarMan Group, Inc that provides management advisory services to owners and senior executives in the area of financial controls.  George left New York as CEO and founder of a successful eight year old computer consulting firm whose clients included leading international banks. His prior experience was as a vice president at Shearson Lehman where he was active in implementing their merger and acquisitions programs.

TJ Mann has 20 years of Sales and Sales Management experience.  These years include Salesman of the Year Award with three different companies -- 1985, Southern Food Service; 1994, Offsite International; 2001, Cendant Corp.  At Cendant, he was Senior Director of Mergers and Acquisitions and after 5 years decided to stay in Northern Arizona and help small to medium sized business owners realize their dreams. TJ serves the Verde Valley, Flagstaff, Prescott and Payson areas in northern Arizona.
